THE YARRA Valley Open Studios Group Exhibition will provide an enticing entrée to the double weekend of the Yarra Valley Open Studios.
The exhibition at Sticks Winery in Yarra Glen brings together the 45 artists who will open their doors to visitors in the third annual showcase of the work of Yarra Valley artists from a wide variety of fields.
The event, which due to popularity will open over two weekends this year, is designed to promote the unique talents of the Yarra Valley’s painters, sculptors, textile workers and metalsmiths.
The featured artists operate from studios throughout the valley from Toolangi and Yarra Glen to Chum Creek and Healesville, Yarra Junction to Warburton, and places in between.
Yarra Valley Open Studios views the group exhibition at Sticks as a natural starting point for their expanded celebration of local art.
The Sticks gallery is a working barrel room where the rows of wine barrels generate unique surroundings and bring together diverse elements of the Yarra Valley’s famous wine industry and an arts industry which is enjoying an increasing share of the limelight.
Yarra Valley Open Studios has an iPhone app with directions to all the participating art studios, visit www.yvopenstudios.net.au or phone 0407 655 483 for further information.
The Yarra Valley Group Exhibition is at Sticks Winery, 179 Glenview Road, Yarra Glen from 10-18 September and the 45 studios will be open from 10am to 5pm on September 10-11 and 17-18.
