SNAIL mail will help determine the race to the polls for next year’s council elections.
The 2012 Yarra Ranges Council election will take place on Saturday 27 October 2012, and councillors agreed at last week’s meeting that postal voting was a cheaper and easier alternative for residents.
More than 77 per cent of Yarra Ranges’ residents cast their vote by post in the 2008 election compared to 70 per cent in attendance elections during the same year.
