Top hunters bare all

TWO impressive hunters, one recently returned from Africa, the other an accomplished author on sambar hunting, will be guest speakers at the October meeting of The Upper Goulburn Branch of the Australian Deer Association.
Club president Bob Carey said the club is proud of its reputation for attracting the very best speakers available to address their meetings.
Local identity Robert Christopher, fresh from success in the National Big Bore Championships , and back from a hunting trip to Botswana will be first speaker. Rob is an experienced sambar hunter, and well known in the district.
The second speaker is Gippsland hunter and author Errol Mason.
“Errol is the author of three magnificent books, a hunting guide, hunter, and is generally regarded as the authority on sambar hunting,” Mr Carey said.
“Not many sambar hunters would not know of Errol, and most would have all of his books.
Mr Carey said the club was expecting a good attendance at the meeting.
“The club makes women welcome, and we pay special attention to the needs of young and novice hunters,” he said.
The meeting is on Tuesday 18 October, at the Alexandra Bowling Club, starting at 7pm with a social barbecue.
