Ebony Kellett played well, but her opponent Ella Clark was on fire taking the set 1-6. Ryley and Sarah had a great 6-2 doubles win against their opponents, but went down in the other two doubles matches.
The new mixed team in section 12 played extremely well in its first match for the club, winning the match 5 sets 36 games to 1 set 25 games against Miller Park.
Joel Orth and Thomas Potter were three-set winners for the day, while Lara Warburton and Tess Savage won two of their three sets, going down in the set they lost 6-7. A great first-up win from the new team.
Player of the week goes to Sarah Lusk. While Sarah didn’t win all their matches for the round, she showed a great fighting spirit on court and a never-say-die attitude. which will was very exciting to watch.
Sarah wins a free grip donated by local coach Anthony Glynn.
