Worms do a good turn

HOW does one get a waste system that is good for the environment and very low on power usage?
Observing the rain forest floor has been the inspiration for the A&A Worm Farm Waste System design.
The natural system, not mechanical, processes sewage, waste water and organic garbage using state-of-the-art worm technology.
“Our systems use minimal energy. Hilly sites require no power while flat sites require a pump that activates on demand for just one minute when a pre-determined quantity of liquid reaches the bottom,” says company spokesman Shane Van de Wardt.
“Independently assessed, a typical four bedroom dwelling costs approximately $8 per annum for energy!”
The worm liquid is disposed sub-surface into surrounding gardens providing a natural liquid fertiliser containing worm castings and eggs.
“There is no smell, and virtually no maintenance.” Shane said.
“As we do not sub-contract any of our services or installations, we oversee the entire process from the initial contact, to applying for the council permit, installations and relevant council inspections.”
We conduct the required service visits at six and 18 months free of charge, then each subsequent two years for a small fee, just to cover costs.
A&A Worm Farm Waste Systems design and install systems for domestic use, food manufacturers, restaurants, schools, unit development sites, ski lodges, oil refineries for food waste from the staff canteens, animal waste etc – anywhere organic waste is generated.
