A CURIOUS melting pot of musical genres takes the audience on a journey from slow lilting ballads to wild and uplifting dance tracks when Picture Box Orchestra takes to the stage at Warburton’s Upper Yarra Arts Centre on Friday 24 February.
The four piece orchestra, combining Indian classical techniques with jazz, gypsy and Western classical influences, is a unique musical experience.
Vocalist Faheem Mazhar from Pakistan, violinist and composer Alies Sluiter, cellist Tim Blake and Jay Dabgar on table make up the group.
Each of the musicians brings something unique from their own backgrounds to the orchestra.
Individually the artists have extraordinary careers and collectively they raise the bar and their music becomes something entirely different. Phone 5966 4500 to book.
