YARRA Valley food-lovers have the opportunity to be part of Good Food Month, Australia’s largest food festival, right here in the valley.
The Savoia restaurant at Mont De Lancey in Wandin has partnered with The Age Good Food Month to present the Yarra Valley’s finest degustation dining experience.
The event, on Friday 29 November, is a local taste of a food and wine extravagana that features events in Melbourne and regional Victoria including fine dining, master classes and noodle markets in Melbourne to long lunches, slow lunches and divine dinners at leading restaurants.
The Savoia dinner, part of the festival’s World Dinner events, will take diners on a tantalising journey through the flavours of regional Italy.
Locally sourced, organic and whole foods will come together to create a sumptuous five-course degustation – an indulgence of delicacies from Roma to Piedmont through Milano and Sicily, surrounded by the verdant, elegant surrounds of Savoia Mont De Lancey.
If this special local event whets the appetite for more then venture into Melbourne for to the excitement of the Night Noodle Market in Alexandra Gardens.
With more than 30 authentic Asian-inspired hawkers, it’s a wonderful opportunity for families to experience multi-cultural Melbourne, at the other end of the Yarra, in the spring.
