JUST like Santa’s little elves, many of the Warburton Valley’s most talented and creative artisans have been beavering away in their workshops in anticipation of Warburton Homemade’s Christmas Night Market.
More than 300 people turned out for the inaugural market last year and it is expected to be just as popular this year.
Warburton Homemade is a treasure trove of unique hand-crafted items from toys and jewellery to clothing, books by local authors and illustrators, cards, home decor… and much, much more.
The emphasis is on quality and design.
The range is an eclectic reflection of the talents of the community and a great place to buy gifts that support the ‘shop local’ edict and return 100 per cent of the profit to the maker.
The Christmas Night Market, from 6pm to 8.30pm on Friday 6 December, is an extra special night to meet the local artists and makers of Warburton Handmade in the shop, gallery and at the outdoor market and find the special things that aren’t available in the big chain stores down the line.
There will be a door prize, community garden raffle draw and delicious local produce to sample.
So, instead of the mad Christmas rush, set aside some time on Friday night to enjoy the Warburton vibe while ticking off the Christmas gift list this year.
And, if you can’t make it to the market, Warburton Handmade is open every day.
