WARBURTON residents are being asked to take note of their televisions today, as the move to digital-only television completes in the area.
Residents in the Warburton area will be asked to retune their televisions any time after 3.30pm today (19 February), as the broadcasting spectrums change and channels will move around as a result.
Using their digital TV recorder, set-top-box or digital television, residents can press the “menu” button on their remote controls, look for their “set up” options and then select options regarding “channels” or “auto-tuning”.
The retune is the result of works taking place at a nearby television transmission site, and will mean that current broadcasting spectrums will be changed to make way for mobile broadband.
Television outages may occur between 9am and 3.30pm today and on Thursday 20 February, as work continues at the transmission site.
The rollout of the retune is taking place across Australia, and is expected to finish on 31 December.
Any residents that have difficulty retuning their televisions or equipment should check their manufacturer’s handbook, manual or instructions.
For more information, or instructions on how to retune, visit www.digitalready.gov.au/retune, or call 1800 20 10 13 between 8am-10pm any day.
