Crash blocks traffic

By JESSE GRAHAM

A SINGLE-car collision has left a man in hospital and traffic banked up along Chum Creek Road this afternoon, though the scene has just been given the all-clear.
Emergency crews were called out to Chum Creek at 2.33pm on Friday 21 February, after a car hit a tree between Mount Lebanon Road and Ryans Road.
Traffic was blocked toward Toolangi for around half an hour, with CFA crews diverting traffic along Ryan’s Road.
The driver of the car, a 47-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance, though details of his injuries are currently unknown.
The site of the crash was cleared and the road was open in both directions about 3.03pm.
Police, SES and ambulance crews all attended the incident.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Healesville Police on 5962 4422.
