PEOPLE in the outer east need the opportunity to participate in higher education, TAFE and community education in Lilydale. The best site is the Swinburne University site. What a waste if it is not used by the community.
All political parties should commit to reclaiming the site from Swinburne and making it available for alternative providers to ensure that higher and community education as well as TAFE is available there.
If these forms of education are important, voters are urged to allocate their vote to the individual or party which ensures that the outer east will no longer be the only metropolitan region without all of these opportunities available within the region.
