Critical, after head-on crash

A HEALESVILLE man is fighting for life after a serious head-on collision in Lilydale yesterday.
At 7.45am, police were called out to a head-on collision on the Maroondah Highway in Lilydale, near Victoria Road.
A 62-year-old Healesville man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
Three people in the other car were also taken to hospital – two were taken to Maroondah Hospital, while the other was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Information on their condition was not immediately available.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident and are urging witnesses to contact Constable Barker at Lilydale police station on 9739 2300 or by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
