Now in its 32nd year, it has established itself as an enduring cinematic event that draws emerging film-makers and film-lovers from distant places to Warburton for a weekend of drama, comedy, world films, documentaries, great food, like-minded company … and the friendly welcome of Warburton itself.
This year’s program starts on Friday afternoon, 12 June with the “Show Us Your Shorts” student film competition, leading into award presentations at 5pm.
The official opening on Friday evening will be followed by the screening of the Australian drama ‘Fell’ with director Kasimir Burgess and cinematographer Marden Dean as special guests.
The program continues on Saturday with Force Majueure, Wadjda, Felony, Get Well Soon and Babadook, and on Sunday with The Salt of the Earth, The Broken Circle Breakdown and Ida.
Bookings are open for the films and the dinners and lunches that are such an integral part of the festival atmosphere.
