IF THE great outdoors is your thing, the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing and Boating Expo is going to grab your attention.
The show returns to the Melbourne Showgrounds in August, and the Mail, in conjunction with the organisers, has 10 double passes to give away.
Surrounded by national parks and the Great Divide, it’s no surprise that this show, and the annual ticket give-away is popular with Mail readers.
The action-packed outdoors haven for fishermen, boat enthusiasts, 4WDers and outback tourers will showcase tens of thousands of fishing, boating, camping, outdoors and 4×4 products from over 200 leading exhibitors and retailers.
Event director, Paul Mathers, said they were thrilled to be bringing the show back to Melbourne.
“The show will once again cater for all interests in the great outdoors,” Mr Mathers said.
“Whether it’s fishing, boating, camping or four wheel driving you’re passionate about, you will be in outdoors heaven at the show.”
The show will feature more than 30,000 square metres of the best outdoors products and services in a one-stop shop bringing exhibitors and enthusiasts together for everything to do with outdoor adventure.
Mr Mathers said exhibitors came from a wide range of categories and some exciting big-name exhibitors had already signed on.
“We will be showcasing everything from big ticket items such as boats, caravans and four wheel drives, to fishing rods, outdoors clothing and accessories,” he said.
Tickets will soon be on sale for the landmark event that also bring a fantastic line-up of special guests and industry experts to the Melbourne Showgrounds.
The line-up to date includes the ever-popular Paul Worsteling from TV’s iFish, Roothy the Bush Mechanic, Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure, Shaun and Graham from 4WD Action, and Rick, Jamie and fishing legend Starlo from The Offroad Adventure Show.
Ex-AFL legend Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt and his wife Sheree will also feature hosting the popular Campfire Cooking Corner.
For 4WD enthusiasts, the Waeco Outback Stage and dedicated 4WD Proving Ground, a purpose-built track run by 4WD Victoria, will provide the opportunity to learn how to use a 4×4 to its maximum capability on a variety of surfaces simulating being off the beaten track.
To entertain all ages, the exciting Action Arena will feature the award-winning Outback Thunda monster truck and the roly-poly car will show off its amazing backflips, with still more entertainment to be announced.
