Calling all food and wine lovers … if you love everything to do with food and pairing it with a fabulous wine, then you’re in for a treat.
And if you love great entertainment, and enjoying time with the family, you’re in for a great time.
On the weekend of 1 and 2 April, the inaugural Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival is coming to the valley, set among the vines at the iconic Rochford Wines at Coldstream.
More than 40 of the Yarra Valley’s leading wineries will gather at Rochford, along with cider and beer artisans and 50 of the best local provedores and producers, for the ultimate foodie day out.
A highlight of the festival is the appearance on stage on Saturday night of the world-famous ABBA tribute band, Bjorn Again.
Sunday is Family Day with kids’ activities, stage shows, performers and face painting.
Of course the star of the show, and one of the many icons of the Yarra Valley, is the incredible wine.
The Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival will feature tutored wine tastings, and laneways to enjoy your favourite wines including chardonnay, pinot noir and sparkling.
If you’re more of a beer or cider fan, you haven’t been left out … there will be tastings of those as well.
Another highlight is a guest appearance from Channel Seven’s hit television series, My Kitchen Rules, and there’s much, much more to enjoy.
If you haven’t tried some of the Yarra Valley’s extraordinary local produce and fabulous wine, the Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival is the perfect way to begin your foodie journey.
