Police are appealing for assistance to help locate missing Seville East man Rodney Taylor.
Mr Taylor, 74, has been missing since Wednesday, 6 December, when he was last seen at his Joyce Road home around 7am.
Investigators have been told Mr Taylor did not attend his usual Wednesday lunch and did not return home.
Police and family are concerned for his welfare due to his age and that his disappearance is out of character.
Police have released an image of Mr Taylor in the hope that someone can provide information on his whereabouts, and have called in the police air wing to do an aerial search.
Mr Taylor is believed to be driving a blue 2007 Ford Fairmont sedan, registration WGV226 and is known to frequent the Healesville, Launching Place and Lilydale areas.
Sergeant Justin Wool of Lilydale Police asks anyone who sees Mr Taylor, or has information on his whereabouts, to call Lilydale Police Station immediately on 9739 2300.
“Even if Rodney says he is OK we would ask anyone who sees him to get emergency services involved as soon as possible.
“We need to check he is OK,” Sgt Wool said.
