SES clears tree blocking Maroondah Highway

The tree blocking the Maroondah Highway.

By Jed Lanyon

Healesville SES crews responded to a fallen tree on the Corner of Maxwells Road and Maroondah Highway at around 4pm on Thursday 30 May.

The tree had blocked both lanes of the Maroondah Highway just outside of Healesville causing delays during peak hour.

The Healesville SES had a busy day as they were also responding to a reported landslide in Dixon’s Creek at around the same time.

Traffic was diverted down Maxwells Road before the SES team cleared the highway before 5pm to allow motorists through.

The SES would like to remind motorists that the speed limit is reduced to 40 kilometres per hour when emergency vehicles have their flashing lights on.
