Healesville will once again be decorated with beautiful Christmas wreaths which will adorn every lamp post along the main street.

The project is undertaken by Healesville Rotary as club Secretary Don Fitzgerald told the Mail, “We’ll be putting the wreaths up again.”

Mr Fitzgerald said that with the help of Yarra Ranges Council, Healesville Rotary was able to refurbish the 26 wreaths that will feature on the lamp posts around Healesville.

“I’m hoping to accompany them with banners… Hopefully we can gear it up for the first week of December,” he said.

The decorations are designed to be placed perfectly on the antique posts.

“It’s about having that old fashioned Christmas atmosphere in Healesville.

“We like to clutch on to that and create a festive mood. We want people to enjoy coming down the main street.”

Mr Fitzgerald said that he hopes to see the streets decorated in seasonal themes throughout the year in the future.
