A confirmed Covid-19 case shopped at Coles Chirnside Park on New Years Eve, DHHS has revealed.

According to the DHHS website, the case shopped at the store between 10am and 10.15am on Thursday 31 December while infectious.

Those who have shopped at Chirnside Park are urged to monitor for symptoms and if symptoms develop, immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

The news comes as Victoria records four new cases of coronavirus since Saturday, with three acquired locally and one in hotel quarantine.

All of the latest locally acquired cases have been linked to the Black Rock cluster, according to acting Premier Jacinta Allan.

Ms Allan said test results were a positive result after a record 32,468 people were tested on Sunday 3 January.

“This is a really strong day for Victoria because it comes off the back of a huge number of tests,” she said.

There are currently 34 active Covid cases in Victoria.
