A water main has burst in Yarra Glen and caused damage to the road on Bell Street just after 11am this morning.
Yarra Valley Water crews are repairing the damaged infrastructure, while traffic management is in place.
To enable repairs to be completed safely, the water was switched off about 2pm, interrupting supply to about 30 customers. It’s expected to be back on about 6.15pm tonight.
Emergency water supplies are available from our crews on site.
The road surface has been made safe for now and we will be back to complete a full reinstatement and refurbishment of that section of road.
Yarra Valley Water spokesperson said, “We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers and motorists and we hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible.”
