Residents of Marna, Miller, and Montpellier Street as well as Grandview Crescent and Lawrence Court in Healesville may be required to pay special charges fees for the asphalting of these roads.

Approximately 62 properties will be affected.

The propositions were tabled at the Yarra Ranges Council meeting on 8 February 2022, the first of the year.

All three were motioned by Cr Fiona McAllister of Ryrie Ward and were seconded by Cr Tim Heenan, Cr David Eastham, and Cr Stephanie Todorov respectively, before being unanimously agreed to.

The charges come under a Special Charges Scheme enacted by the Local Government Act 1989.

These roads were all a part of the priority list under the 2019 Federal Government Funded Roads for the Community Initiative.
