Local environmental groups invite the community to participate in their Clean up Australia events on Saturday and Sunday March 4 and 5.
Yarra Landcare will host at Yarra Junction Saturday 4 March from 9.30am until midday to clean up platypus habitat along the Yarra River.
Healesville Environment Watch, Badger Creek Community Group and Mt Toolebewong and District Landcare will be at the Coranderrk Creek on Sunday March 5 from 09.30am until midday.
Over twenty million Aussies have participated in Clean Up Australia events over the past thirty years.
Both events will provide a free morning tea at 9.30am, with walks and litter collection commencing from 10am.
Bring along a cup for your free drink and protective gloves for the clean up.
