A white ute was said to be stolen from the side of a property on Maroondah Highway between 8pm on 27 March and 11am on 28 March.
The 1997 Mazda Bravo single cab ute featured a bullbar and had the license plate number 1VJ4XO.
The theft was reported to police on Tuesday and the owner has been made aware as the car was being borrowed by a friend.
The ute was parked outside the friend’s residence in Healesville along the highway near Poppy’s Thai restaurant.
