The Eastern Golf Club in Yering erupted into flames and billowing smoke on Monday 16 October.
At about 1.45pm, CFA crews were alerted to a fire at the course, which has both a golf club and cottages for accommodation.
22 vehicles were responding and a strong wind was carrying the smoke in the direction of Yarra Glen.
At 3.15pm the fire was still noted as not yet under control and an advice warning had been issued for nearby residents who may see or smell smoke.
Everyone at the course, including staff and golfers, were evacuated safely.
