The Healesville Library hosted a Christmas lunch on Thursday 21 December 2023, running off the back of its community meals program.
The program started in June 2022 inspired by the idea of the Tuscan Contrada-style dinner with the notion of ‘building a longer table rather than a higher fence’ to provide an opportunity for people to meet each other in a safe environment under the purpose of social inclusion.
It was free of charge, same as the library’s other community meal programs, to make more people in the community be included.
