Join Pathways for Carers Walk in Healesville and enjoy a cuppa

Community members are invited to join the Pathways for Carers Walk in Healesville on Wednesday 24 September, meeting at 9.45am at Beechworth Bakery, 316 Maroondah Highway, Healesville.

The focus for the September walk is “What’s your Plan?” where the host share tips on how to prepare for unexpected events and what to put in your grab bag.

The nature of disaster and crises means they can happen suddenly and unexpectedly.

The Healesville Library Tech support person is available following the walk to help participants scan the important items onto a USB.

Bring your documents to scan onto the USB that could include family and identification documents, financial and property documents, legal documents and medical information.

USB provided free of charge.

Council’s community emergency resilience officer, Kelly Hofert, and flood and storm recovery officer, Marcus Overman, will share valuable information on ways to be better prepared in case of emergencies including hospital admissions, storm events etc.

After the walk, participants can enjoy a cuppa at the Healesville Community Link meeting room, 110 River Street, Healesville for a delicious morning tea sponsored by Beechworth Bakery and VMCH Carer Support Services.

The Healesville Pathways for Carers Walks are led by a wonderful carer, Tracey, and in partnership with Yarra Ranges Council, Healesville Living and Learning Centre, Your Library and VMCH Carer Supports.

Date: Wednesday 24 September.

Time: 9.45am – 11.15am (approx).

Meeting point at 9.45am: Beechworth Bakery, 316 Maroondah Highway, Healesville.
