Things got spooky at the Badger Creek Fire Brigade on Friday for its ‘Halloween Horror Night.’
For their third annual Halloween event on Friday, October 31, the station was turned into a maze for members of the community to enjoy.
Local CFA member Sally said, “Our brigade members made all of their own props for the halloween event.”
“A lot of time and effort goes into preparing ,setting up and packing up by our members and their families,” she said.
This year the Badger Creek CFA received assistance from neighbouring emergency service units such as the Healesville SES for crowd safety, and the Healesville CFA to help run the community safety awareness as part of the CFA “Get Fire Ready” program which had been running through the month of October.
Sally said, “It was a great way to get the information out to the public when we’ve captured such a large audience at our station.”
Friday’s event included four food vans to help feed the 1200 people who attended.
“We would like to thank all those who came along and to all those involved on the night, it was a huge success,” Sally said.
