Victorian greyhound racing teams will be gearing up for a big day of competition as heats begin at Healesville Greyhounds for the National Straight Track Championship.
The heats start tomorrow Sunday 28 November at the track, with the state final to follow at the same venue on Sunday 5 December.
The winner of the state final will receive $5000 and will be off to compete at the national final in Queensland at Capalaba’s track.
South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland will also host their own heats and finals in order to determine which greyhounds will represent their respective states.
The event was postponed several times due to Covid.
