Two films by award-winning Warburton director Peter Charles Downey will screen at Yarra Valley ECOSS documentary film night in Wesburn on Sunday 30 July at 7pm.
Under the banner of Permculture of the Inner and Outer Landscape, Downey will present his first and latest documentaries – Anima Mundi (2011) and Esteem (2017).
Anima Mundi explores permaculture, resource depletion, climate change and Gaia theory with David Holmgren (permaculture), Michael Reynolds (earthships), Vandana Shiva and others.
The cathartic, vulnerable and intimate, Esteem explores eco-psychology, deep ecology and social ecology with Prof Stuart Hill, John Seed, Subhana Barzaghi and Yarra Valley’s Aladdin Jones among others.
There will be a warm fire and soup, bread and chai-tea available to purchase on the night.
Seating is limited, so take along a cushion or sheepskin.
DVDs of Downey’s four documentaries will be available for purchase and all monies raised go towards making future films with a message.
The films are suitable for mature audiences and tickets are $15 and $13 concession.
