Arrest following Healesville assault

Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a serious assault in Healesville on Sunday morning.

Police were told two groups of men were involved in an altercation, in a carpark at the intersection of River and Church Street, where a teen was seriously injured about 3.20am.

A 22-year-old Glenburn man was arrested today and charged with four offences, including intentionally causing serious injury, affray and related assaults.

He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 30 November.

The 18-year-old Diamond Creek boy remains in a critical condition.
