Lavender lovers can enjoy the Wood Working Wonders Expo at the Warratina Lavender Farm in Wandin North.

From 31 August to 20 September, 10am to 4pm, visitors can witness members of local woodturning groups demonstrating their craft.

Guests can pick up a variety of wood items for sale, including furniture, and other beautiful decorative pieces.

The event will feature a silent auction, which will include the wooden train pictured.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Wandin CFA.

Initially the farm was a hobby for lavender enthusiast Annemarie Manders, but now thrives as a tourist spot for lavender enthusiasts.

Over the years the farm gradually expanded and now has over 10,000 lavender plants and is much loved by tourists from around Australia.

The Wood Working Wonders Expo requires a gold coin entry. For more information, visit: https://warratinalavender.com.au/
