Chapel stirs medieval tastes

THE Chapel Restaurant, located on treelined Castella Street in Lilydale, is the perfect venue for a unique dining and live entertainment experience.
Renowned for its medieval English style cuisine, extensive wine list, and warm family friendly atmosphere, the restaurant also offers a regular program of live entertainment.
Earlier this month the restaurant launched its new spring menus for lunch and dinner service.
The menus feature a delicious array of fresh, seasonal produce and mouth watering main meals.
Highlights of the lunch menu include a ploughman’s plate, a red spicy beef noodle dish and a host of vegetarian dishes.
The evening menu features a wonderful array of meat dishes including kangaroo, beef, steak and veal.
The restaurant has an exciting lineup of live entertainment in the coming months to match the venue’s unique dining experience.
The Chapel is hosting live music every Saturday night from 7pm and live jazz performances by local band Jazz Antics on the last Sunday of each month from 1pm.
“The live music adds another dimension to the quality and uniqueness of The Chapel,” manager Sharon Bennett said.
“People have been coming to The Chapel for our wonderful, affordable menus, our first class service and inviting atmosphere and now they are also coming to hear top quality live music.”
The Chapel is also the perfect venue for special occasions, family celebrations, weddings and Christmas parties, Ms Bennett said.
In the lead up to festive season the restaurant is offering a special two course lunch for Christmas functions, but also has a range of buffet and a la carte menus available.
The Chapel is located at 4244 Castella Street, Lilydale, and is open for dinner on Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm and for lunch on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Phone 9735 3135.
