Swim event to raise funds for cancer

HEALESVILLE Swimming Club is asking swimmers of all ages and abilities to tog up and join them in their annual Swim 4 Cancer.
The club is running the 12-hour marathon swim next Sunday, 19 November, at the indoor pool at Healesville High School.
“We would really love to see members of the public in the pool helping us to get a really great result in raising funds for cancer research,” club representative Lara Cann said.
The swim will start at 6am and we will have breakfast there for anyone wanting to take an early swim.”
A sausage sizzle will be available between 11.30am and 2.30pm and a gold coin donation will help boost the final tally.
There are prizes for the most laps completed and most money raised and a raffle with three terrific prizes – a 12-speed Kawasaki mountain bike, Yarra Valley gourmet hamper and a meal voucher for the Healesville RSL.
Raffle tickets are available at the indoor pool and the Healesville RSL Bistro.
Phone Ms Cann on 0408 384 560 for further details.
