EACH week the Eagles continue to improve and learn. The young side has much to be proud of as although the scoreboard did not reflect this, their team spirit and good sportsmanship stand out as winners every week.

Monbulk 8.19.67 d Yarra Junction 0.0.0.
Best: Demi Fall, Tyson Sund, Travis Drogemuller.
THE game started slow because of the wet conditions and the scoring by Monbulk reflected the conditions. Monbulk was just too good on the day.

A GREAT start set the tone for the rest of the game as Wesburn ran well and used excellent ruck work to win significant centre clearances. Seville fought hard all game, but constant scoreboard pressure from Wesburn sealed what was a hard-fought win in wet conditions.

THE game was played with both great intensity and spirit by both teams as the final score didn’t reflect the pressure Wesburn put on their strong opponents in Seville. A much improved effort from the whole team and certain players showed that a win is not far away as Wesburn continue to improve in every aspect of their games. A special mention to Luke James for a heroic act of courage that shows why we play this great game.
