YES, it can be frustrating! But it’s so much fun! Mini golf is a great way to spend time with the kids during the school holidays.
At Maroondah Adventure Golf Park in Chirnside Park there are two 18-hole mini golf courses to choose from, each with its own tricks and traps, bumps and dips, water features and other challenges.
For rainy days, the park’s multiple-level undercover course provides a tricky lodge course.
The park is offering a special school holiday program on Mondays and Wednesdays. For $25, funsters get a lesson with the golf pro, lunch and a round of mini golf. Bookings are essential for this program.
A hedge maze adds to the fun and a letter-hunt provides chance for kids to put their a-mazing spelling skills to work and win a prize.
Mums and dads who aren’t lucky enough to get the school holidays off don’t have to miss out either. The park is open in the evenings so why not take advantage of the added daylight hours to enjoy an early evening round of mini golf with the kids.
There is a kiosk on site offering hot food, snacks, ice creams and drinks.
For the more experienced golfer, there is a 25-bay driving range and two short-game areas with a sand bunker.
The park’s pro shop provides a specialised golf club fitting with professional Tony Page.
