The Maroondah Highway is closed between Healesville and Narbethong, through the ‘Black Spur’ until 7pm on Tuesday 9 October for emergency tree works.
Signed detours are in place via the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra.
This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. Drivers should plan ahead to allow extra time.
A closure during daylight hours is necessary due to the size and location of a fallen tree, and the heavy machinery required for its removal.
