Yarra Ranges council will be hosting its 2022 Australia Day Awards online to remain Covid-safe for the protection of staff and community members.
Last year, the area was well represented in the awards – CEO of Healesville Indigenous Community Services Association Anne Jenkins was awarded Citizen of the Year, the Healesville Soccer Club and Futsal Club were awarded Yarra Ranges Community Group of the Year, Reggie Clark was awarded the Mayor’s Lifetime Achievement Award and The Firesticks Program were the Environmentalist of the Year.
This year’s award recipients will be invited to meet with Mayor Jim Child to receive their awards and citation.
Yarra Valley residents can tune into the award handover on Yarra Ranges Life TV, who will be co-hosting with the council.
