The final day’s play of the RACV’s Team Golf tournament came to a close just as Nicholson’s Captain Laurie Tormey had predicted.

I had found Laurie on the practice putting green before his hit off time, where I asked him what he was expecting.

“Riddell’s David Hutchins is in form, Max McIntosh and Doug Smith will score well to put pressure on, as will Rael’s Kennith Emslie; but I expect Geoff Hopkins to score well enough to place himself in our top six best scorers and this will be enough to give us the points”, Tormey said

Premiership Celebrations concluded last Wednesday night when players and supporters gathered at the Terminus Hotel for the Tormey Taylor Presentations where two local sportsmen. Laurie Tormey and Richard “Dickie” Taylor were honoured.
