All Healesville teams made the trek to Berwick Springs this weekend.

The conditions at Berwick Springs were challenging with a strong wind at the unprotected ground creating challenges for both sides.

It was another tough week for the netballers with a number of players missing from the high grade, so players were moved around between teams and playing unfamiliar positions.

A Grade played in the worst of the conditions this week with both the wind and rain to contend with.

Berwick Springs started out well and didn’t let Healesville back into the game to win by 47 goals.

Healesville’s B Grade put in one of their stronger performances this week despite the team being unsettled due to players missing.

Healesville were still in the game at half-time, but turnovers cost Healesville the game in the end with Berwick Springs winning by 22 goals.

The windy conditions in C Grade made shooting challenging with the team that could win the rebounds from the wayward shots caused by the wind was the team that would win the game.

Berwick Springs were are to rebound at both ends with extra height on the Healesville players to run out winners by 30 goals.

The Reserves had a day they would rather forget against a very strong Berwick Springs side who never let Healesville into the game.

It took until the final quarter for Healesville to get on the scoreboard, but they were unable to kick a major during the game.

Berwick Spring were big winners by 122 points.

In the Seniors, Healesville kicked with the wind in the first quarter, but didn’t make the most of the opportunity with Berwick Springs matching the Healesville with the quarter time score being even.

Berwick Springs used the wind well in the second quarter and limited Healesville’s scoring to go into the half time break 21 points up.

The second half was much the same with Healesville unable to make the most of the kicking with the wind and Berwick Springs could, to run out eventual winners by 37 points.

The women played the late game at Berwick Spring and put their stamp on the game right from the start keeping Berwick Springs scoreless in the first quarter.

They maintained the pressure throughout the game and didn’t let Berwick Springs back in despite a scoreless last quarter to be winners by 35 points.

All teams are at home this week, against Belgrave, Monbulk and Kilcunda with both the netball and football starting at 10:30am.
