Walking the high wire

Emma Avery from Silvers Circus performs on the high wire.

THE magic of the big-top comes to Ferntree Gully with performances by Silvers’ Circus.
The family-owned circus has been operating in Australia since 1976.
Performances include hire wire acts, juggling, hula hooping and acrobatics.
Motorcycle daredevils the Phoenix Riders take on the Globe of Death challenge, where three motorcyclists and an acrobat perform inside a giant metal globe.
The original founders of the circus, Anna and Anton Glasser, continue to perform alongside several of their children.
Performances are held each week on Wednesday through Sunday until 15 September.
The big top is set up in the Ferntree Gully Hotel carpark at 1130 Burwood Highway.
Bookings available through Ticketmaster or Silvers Circus on 0413 880044.
