TWO people were hospitalised after a crash that occurred on the Maroondah Highway in Healesville late last week.
The crash, which involved two cars, took place on the corner of McGrettons Road and the highway, near the Coles Express petrol station at 10.20am on Thursday 3 July.
Two CFA trucks, an ambulance and police officers were all at the scene, and traffic on the highway was blocked in both directions for around half an hour.
A CFA member said the cause of the crash had not been established, but the side of one of the vehicles and the front of the other were extensively damaged.
The CFA member said that two people – including the driver of one of the vehicles – were taken from the scene to hospital by ambulance.
The extent of the injuries to both people are not currently known.
Police diverted traffic around the site via Harker and Ryrie streets, before the cars were towed away and the site was cleared at 10.50am.
