JULY can be a cold, muddy and miserable month but Wine Yarra Valley have come up with the perfect antidote to the cold weather and wet grounds.
The 2016 Gumboot season will have special events and dining experiences only for those brave enough to visit their favourite winery in the middle of winter.
For every day in July, participating wineries in the Yarra Valley will be lighting their fires and pouring wine in their cellar doors, with special deals for those wearing their gumboots.
Pull on your wellies for discounts up to 15 per cent off purchases and cellar doors hosting games such as toss the boot and how many corks in the gumboot.
Many wineries will be hosting special lunches and dinners with extra prizes especially for those people wearing their gumboots.
