Drugs seized in raids

In brief

THREE people will front Ringwood Magistrates’ Court after Healesville police conducted raids across town late last month.
Healesville’s Sergeant Stewart Thomson said that three locations in Healesville were raided by police on 23 October, with three people arrested.
Sgt Thomson said that quantities of cannabis were seized from each location during the raids, which were run with officers from Croydon Divisional Tasking Unit.
The three people have been charged with drug possession and have been bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court in March.

Police enjoy party mood
HEALESVILLE’S Police Sergeant has thanked the community after an incident-free weekend for Healesville’s 150th birthday.
Sergeant Stewart Thomson said that no incidents were reported to police over the entirety of the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November, and that community members were well-behaved.
“I’m very impressed with the local community and their behaviour,” he said.
“Lots of community members came up and made themselves known to local police – it was really good.”
